ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Tellakula Jalayya Polisetty Somasundaram College,Guntu,managed byVasavi Vidyanidhi Committee was established in August 1971) under the dynamic leadership of Late Sri Tellakula Jalayya,alegendary personality, who occupied a number of public positions such as member of Legislative Assembly, Chairman of Guntur Municipal Corporation and wit the deep commitment of the illustrious sons of Late Sri Polisetty Somasundaram, in the name of their noble father . The college which made a humble beginning in 1971, has fast grown into one of the biggest and most prestigious institutions of higher learning in Guntur city with more than 2500 students, 120 teaching staff, and 75 administrative and supporting staff on its rolls . The college offers a wide range of courses from intermediate to Post graduation. The college is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University. TIPS College is one of the affiliated college having qualified research guides who are recognised by Acharya Nagarjuna University for proving guidance to M.Phil and Ph.D scholars.
