INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN (IDP)

1. Vision and Mission

Vision:
To emerge as a globally recognized institution fostering excellence in education, innovation, and societal transformation.

Mission:

  • To provide inclusive, high-quality education and promote multidisciplinary learning.
  • To encourage research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
  • To produce skilled, ethical, and responsible graduates.

2. Academic Excellence

Objectives:

  • Modernize curricula and implement learner-centric pedagogy.
  • Integrate skill-based and certificate courses.
  • Improve teaching-learning outcomes.

Initiatives:

  • Implement Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
  • Adopt Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS).
  • Introduce emerging area courses (AI, IoT, Data Science).
  • Conduct regular curriculum revision workshops.

3. Faculty Development and Recruitment

Goals:

  • Recruit competent, research-oriented faculty.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional growth.

Actions:

  • Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and workshops.
  • Encourage Ph.D. registration.
  • Implement transparent performance appraisal.
  • Faculty exchange and collaborative teaching programs.

4. Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship

Objectives:

  • Foster a culture of inquiry and discovery.
  • Support commercialization of innovative ideas.

Strategies:

  • Establish a Research & Development Cell.
  • Form Innovation & Incubation Centre.
  • Allocate institutional seed funding.
  • Apply for government and industry-sponsored projects.

5. Student Development and Support

Initiatives:

  • Soft skills, life skills, and employability training.
  • Robust mentoring and counseling systems.
  • Career Guidance and Placement Cell.
  • Financial aid, merit scholarships, and student welfare schemes.
  • Student clubs, NSS/NCC, and leadership programs.

6. Governance and Autonomy

Steps:

  • Strengthen Institutional Governance Structure.
  • Enhance role of Academic Council and IQAC.
  • Introduce LMS system for administrative transparency.
  • Foster participatory decision-making.
  • Regular feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement.

7. Infrastructure and Digital Transformation

Upgrades:

  • Develop smart classrooms, e-learning facilities.
  • Upgrade laboratories, library, and sports infrastructure.
  • Install  high-speed internet.
  • Initiate Green Campus Projects.

8. Accreditation and Quality Assurance

Targets:

  • Achieve NAAC Accreditation (A grade or higher).
  • Participate in NIRF Rankings.
  • Establish robust IQAC and conduct periodic academic audits.

9. Industry Linkages and MoUs

Plans:

  • Sign MoUs with industries and academic institutions.
  • Arrange industry-led internships and projects.
  • Launch joint certificate and value-added programs.

10. Community Engagement and Social Responsibility

Activities:

  • NSS/NCC outreach in rural development and health camps.
  • Environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives.

11. Financial Sustainability

Approach:

  • Secure funding from UGC, RUSA, DST, AICTE, CSR, and Alumni.

Mechanism:

  • Establish Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all departments.
